Fragility
In my project, I explore the sense of fragility in a home in our time, especially for immigrants living in another country and facing a rapidly changing world. I aim to create a home that is not tied to a specific place in an attempt to bring order to the chaos of the surrounding world.
However, there is always something very familiar at the core, and I have chosen my grandmother's playing cards. My grandmother enjoyed arranging solitaire games with cards when I was a child.

Cards have something mystical, historical, and enigmatic about them. In the past, divination, omens, and mysticism helped us explain and organize the chaotic nature of life. Today, following the laws of physics and relying on the stability of an equilateral triangle as the foundation, I place a card upon a card, seeking to restore order.
Each card is made of ceramic, a fundamental, sturdy, and reliable material, yet also fragile and capable of retaining its own memory.

The back of the cards features soft and warm white fur, adding an element of comfort and cosiness.

My home is now in a different country, far away from where I was born and raised. My sense of home closely resembles this card house, consisting of trump cards with a soft fur cover. It is built with the most stable shape at its core, but at the same time, it feels infinitely unstable and fragile, making me feel vulnerable and uncertain about the future.
